Some people may be aware that over the last year we have been working on a new publication. A new book - 30 years of SHARP. It is now complete and is being sent of to the printers in time for this season.

A similar book was being planned in 2019/2020 for the 25th anniversary of SHARP, however COVID-19 got in the way and then the time passed us by. So this year work started on this new publication with the aim of launching it as part of our 30th anniversary.
The book takes a look back at 30 years of the charity. Each year has a full spread where there are details of discoveries and research carried out, some of which people may have heard about but there will hopefully be a few surprises too. It doesn’t just focus on the archaeology; the social side of SHARP is also included and celebrated. Throughout the book there are lots of pictures of our many finds, projects, volunteers and activities over the years.
We very much hope this book will be of interest to volunteers (past and present) as well as the visiting public. With the help of the North West Norfolk History Society who have kindly sponsored the volume we have ensured that it will be sold at what we hope is an affordable price of £10. Copies will be available in the Visitor's Centre but we also hope to get it in some local bookshops and locations too.
In addition to this book, we are doing a reprint run of Digging Sedgeford. This will be back in stock in the Visitor's Centre for the RRP price of £12.95. We are also getting in stock a few copies of Gary Rossin's new two-part book, The Archaeology of Norfolk’s First World War Airfields.
