SHARP Memorial for Martin Hatton

SHARP will be holding a memorial event to honour and celebrate the life of SHARP supervisor, Martin Hatton on Saturday 13th July 2024.

We will gather at the Church of St Mary the Virgin (Sedgeford) at 14:00, where we will talk about Martin’s life, the great contributions he has made to SHARP and our memories of him. We will then make our way over to ‘site’ (for approximately 15:00), where we will bury Martin’s trowel on Boneyard Field, and then onto the King William IV pub in Sedgeford (approximately 15:30). If you would like to attend the memorial, please contact the Human Remains team drsophiebeckett@gmail.com so that we can keep track of numbers attending. We are also collating messages, memories and photos to include as part of the event, so please do send these to the Human Remains team, if you wish to.

If you would like to stay for an evening meal at SHARP’s summer season weekly welcome barbeque on the Saturday evening, please indicate this in your email and we can provide you with details on the cost of this (advance booking by 5th July required for catering purposes). There is limited parking at the church and so we ask those attending to park in SHARP’s summer season carpark, please let us know if you need more details about this. We will be able to provide a lift between ‘site’, the church and the pub for those who would find the walk difficult, please let us know if you would like to arrange this.
