About the event

For over 20 years, Norfolk County Council’s Air Photo Interpretation Team has been delivering aerial archaeology projects in Norfolk and Suffolk. Fusing long-standing techniques with modern technology, and drawing on a wealth of source material spanning 100 years, the team have discovered thousands of new archaeological sites, ranging in date from the Neolithic to the Cold War. This talk will summarise developments in aerial archaeology, how archaeological features can be identified and recorded from aerial sources, and how the resulting information can be used.
