THE PROJECT

SHARP (the Sedgeford Historical and Archaeological Research Project) is a long-term, independently-run archaeological project.

Our primary objective is the investigation of the entire range of human settlement and land use in the north-west Norfolk parish of Sedgeford.

Established in 1996, SHARP is one of the largest independent archaeological projects in Britain and is firmly rooted in the local community.

OUR HISTORY

The origins of the project can be traced back to a hotel bar overlooking the Bay of Naples in 1995.

OUR RESEARCH

Although only a small village, Sedgeford has an incredibly rich heritage spanning over four thousand years.

OUR TEAMS

SHARP is made up of many teams working together to learn more about the history of Sedgeford parish.

THE EXPERIENCE
Ever wanted to spend a summer digging in the beautiful Norfolk countryside?
