This Easter we shall be running a short season of desktop research and analysis, running from Monday 26th to Thursday 29th March. We have got a little behind with our field walking analysis and quantification, so rather than conduct additional field walking we have decided to try and bring our previous work up to date.
The New Village Hall has been booked to provide a larger (and warmer!) area to carry out our work, which will comprise:
Cataloguing all previous field walking records and archives.
Pottery identification from field walking seasons 2015, 2016 & 2017.
Mapping all historic field walking records
In addition to the above, we shall also be looking to undertake some walks around the village to examine buildings and features in advance of this summers new project - Unlocking Sedgeford's Medieval Past.
The season is free and open to all, so if you are interested, please contact Brian Fraser at email@example.com for further information.
