Small Finds
This course is a one day introduction to the study of small finds, the more unusual objects that are discovered on excavations. The processes which small finds go through during excavation and post-excavation will be examined.
Other themes will include technology, typology, dating, status and trade. Coins will be looked at as a particular class of small find. Real objects from the Sedgeford excavations will be available for examination during the course.
